Hi everyone.
I have a 7month old whom I’d like to raise with exposure to his parents culture, Mexican and Italian. I only speak Spanish to him as does my mother who cares for him while I’m at work. My husband’s Italian is limited as his parent didn’t speak fluently and his only interaction with his grandmother that only spoke Italian. I imagine even in his limited Italian it would be better to expose our son to some Italian versus none at all. My husband opts out of speaking Spanish or Italian to our son for the easy English. I can use some help on how to get my husband buy into the importance of our baby hearing all of his native tongues or how can I instill the Italian language. Would my switching of Spanish & Italian speaking confuse our baby?

Thoughts?

Yvonne
